Cancer Care and Gut Health, A New Chapter in My Practice
Here’s to supporting people through one of life’s toughest journeys, and helping them find hope, strength, and the best possible future through personalised Cancer Care and Gut Health.

I’m delighted to share that I have successfully completed the Systems Approach to Cancer training, taught by the award-winning Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel. This intensive six-month course challenged me more than any previous qualification, including my MSc in Personalised Nutrition (Merit) and my Dip ION Nutrition Diploma (Distinction). The result? A new, evidence-based qualification that now allows me to safely and legally support individuals affected by cancer, past, present, or at risk, through a personalised approach that bridges Cancer Care and Gut Health.

After 18 years in clinical practice, my focus on digestive health and the gut microbiome continues to sit at the heart of my work. With this new qualification, I can now support Cancer Care and Gut Health in ways that help clients optimise treatment outcomes, recovery, and long-term wellbeing. This approach brings together the science of nutrition and the art of personalised care, addressing gut health, inflammation, and systemic balance to improve resilience at every stage of cancer care.

Through the lens of Cancer Care and Gut Health, my support includes:

  • Enhancing treatment effectiveness through evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle advice, particularly for those with predisposing risk factors such as obesity, diabetes, or a family history of cancer.
  • Promoting gut microbiome recovery during and after treatment to improve digestive comfort and immune balance.
  • Building resilience by addressing inflammation, nutrient depletion, and the gut–immune connection.
  • Supporting preventative strategies for those with inflammatory digestive conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, or Barrett’s oesophagitis.
  • Promoting post-treatment wellbeing through personalised nutrition, microbiome restoration, and lifestyle support for long-term vitality.

The connection between Cancer Care and Gut Health is profound. The gut microbiome influences immune regulation, inflammation, nutrient absorption, and even how well the body tolerates and responds to cancer treatments. By restoring digestive balance, we can reduce side effects, strengthen recovery, and enhance overall quality of life.

This next chapter in my practice represents not just professional growth but a renewed mission, to help clients navigate cancer with compassion, science-based guidance, and the understanding that the gut truly underpins whole-body health.

Here’s to supporting people through one of life’s toughest journeys, and helping them find hope, strength, and the best possible future through personalised Cancer Care and Gut Health. If you or someone you love is navigating cancer or recovery, now is the time to strengthen your foundations of gut health. Discover how a personalised plan can help you restore balance, resilience, and confidence in your body’s healing.
