This Nutty Tahini & Cacao Granola is the perfect way to start your day with a gut-friendly, nutrient-packed breakfast. Loaded with fibre-rich oats, prebiotic seeds, and healthy fats from nuts, this granola supports digestion, balances blood sugar levels, and fuels your body with sustained energy. The addition of tahini and raw cacao brings a delicious depth of flavour while offering antioxidants and essential minerals for optimal gut health. Whether enjoyed with yoghurt, sprinkled over smoothie bowls, or as a crunchy snack, this homemade granola is a wholesome and satisfying option.

Ingredients

  • 80g gluten free porridge oats
  • 30g sesame seeds
  • 30g chia seeds
  • 30g sunflower seeds
  • 30g pumpkin seeds
  • 50g skin on almonds
  • 50g cashews
  • 50g hazelnuts
  • 2tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 heaped tsp raw cacao or cocoa powder
  • 50g dried cranberries (optional)
  • 50g walnut halves
  • 2 tbsp linseeds/flax seeds

Need To Know

  • Prep – 5 mins
  • Cook 10-12 mins, plus cooling time
  • Servings – 10

Step By Step

  • Pre-heat oven to 160 degrees (fan) or gas mark 3.
  • Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl (except the cinnamon, cacao, cranberries (if using), walnuts and linseed/flax seeds.
  • Melt the coconut oil, then add the maple syrup, tahini. cinnamon and cacao stir well to combine.
  • Add this to the dry ingredients and mix well making sure all the mixture is covered.
  • Spread on a lined baking tray and bake in the oven for 10 –12 mins. Stir half way through.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Then add the cranberries, walnuts and linseeds/flax seeds. Mix to combine. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
